About

I'm so glad you've stopped by my blog!  My name is Tracy and I'm a thirty-something wife and mother of three energetic boys.  I've been married for 13 years to my husband Randy.  I knew from the minute I slid into his Chevy truck that he was the one for me.  I once heard Faith Hill describe how she knew that Tim McGraw was the one for her.  She simply said he felt like home.  That is the perfect way to describe how I knew.

I love my Lord.  I was taught from an early age and unapologetically believe that the chief end of man is to glorify God.  My prayer is that I do that each day.  I accepted Christ at an early age and I've had moments in my life where I've walked too far away from God and His will for my life.  My testimony is that God is a God of second chances.  His mercies are limitless and He chases after us with an undying love.  Even with all the mistakes I've made in my life, I find forgiveness, hope, and acceptance in my Savior.  My desire is to love him more and to shine His light into a dark world.  I struggled many years with the fact that I didn't "feel" like I loved Christ.  He has reminded me time and again that love is a verb (ode to DC talk).  I show my love for Christ in serving others.

I'm new to blogging, but I've always loved to write and journal.  This blog will be bits of my life and things I love or find interesting.  I hope to meet many wonderful people along the way.  Hopefully, I will form some life long friendships.  I've already been inspired and encouraged by the blogs of some pretty awesome ladies.

Just so you can know me a little better, here are some random facts about me:

-  I was adopted when I was 3 days old.

-  I'm a PK.  If you don't know what that is, ask me:-)

-  I am an only child.

-  I've played the piano since the age of 6.  I love to play, but don't have much time with 3 kids.  I play for my church, which I am honored to do.

-  I'm a recovering Coke-aholic.  I quit about a month ago and honestly haven't missed it at all.  I'm trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle and take off the baby weight (from babies 1,2,&3).

-  I'm really silly, sarcastic to a fault, and a deep thinker all rolled into one.

- I struggle with comparisons.  I desperately want to have it all together, but most days I fall drastically short.  My house is rarely clean to my liking, my laundry is almost always piled up, and I promise my car always needs to be cleaned out.

-  I love make-up.  I really had no idea how to wear it until I taught myself watching YouTube tutorials.  Don't laugh at me!  My mother just never put much emphasis on such things.

-  My phone is an extra appendage.  I really do have a problem.  I don't talk on it much, but I'm constantly checking it.  Why?  I have no idea.

-  I am really big on quotes.  Love them.  I truly believe the pen is mightier than the sword.  I have always loved written word.  It's just so powerful.

Things I love:  my boys, re-runs of my favorite shows, TJ Maxx, Target, hanging out with my parents, watching my boys play sports, junk food, running, Branson, Texas, Bible study with my girls at church, football games on cool fall nights, music, quiet time, spring/fall, candles, Criminal Minds marathons, CSI, reading, people who tell it like it is (in a good way), listening to David Phelps sing, and staying up late.

Things I strongly dislike:  dirty feet, chaos, spiders, tea (Yes, I am southern), the lack of manners in today's society, driving in the rain, the words belly and plum, dark meat chicken, and heights.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask.  I'd love to hear your comments and get to know you better.

Lastly, I have to give credit to Felicia Hausman Photography for the family picture on my home page.  If you are in NE Arkansas, she is the best!  Check out her fb page here:
